Come on, paint my world - the BMW 430i Gran Coupé
Polish customers usually choose cars in subdued colours. Grey, silver and black vehicles predominate on the streets. There is definitely a lack of variety and fantasy in the form of colourful cars, which would make someone's face smile. Recently, a car appeared in our editorial office, which attracted the attention of many people. We are talking about the BMW 430i Gran Coupe in the new blue edition.
As you know, you should not judge a book by its cover. However, seeing this copy for the first time, it is hard not to be impressed. His blue paint was known to us from the quarrelsome M2. The five-door coupe and its long line look impeccable in this colour. Color gives it a unique character and this "something" appears.
Filled with contradiction
The exterior of the BMW 430i Gran Coupé gives you a loud and clear look. The interior, on the other hand, is an oasis of calm and sophistication. The cabin is dominated by dark colours with minimal aluminium accessories and blue stitching. Black leather armchairs tempt with their comfort and a very wide range of adjustment in all directions. What is more, they have pumped sides. The only strange thing is that this regulation is controlled manually. However, the impression this gives to the interior is very positive. There is no excess of form over content, too many ornaments, or not fully considered solutions. The whole is the embodiment of elegance in the best sense of the word.
Despite the fact that the inside of the car is quite dark and the gray elements do not brighten up, there is no impression of gloom or crampedness. The cabin seems to be wide thanks to the aluminium insert on the dashboard. Installed in the roof of the sunroof makes it possible to let in a bit of light. When it is opened inside the car, no unbearable bang can be heard while driving. The sunroof is constructed in such a way that during use in the car there is silence.
The driver has a classic and simple display board in front of his eyes. Meanwhile, other manufacturers want to satisfy customers at all costs by installing liquid crystal screens. The Bavarian brand focuses on simplicity in this case. In front of the driver there are only analogue, classic orange-backlit indicators that resemble those in BMW from the past.
The BMW 4 series is not really a big car. Despite this, there is still enough space inside. The first row of seats gives a little less space than the 5 Series. The rear seat is also a nice surprise. Even if the driver is about 170 cm tall, there is still 30 cm left behind. The legs of a rear-seat passenger will fit comfortably in this place. The rear bench seat has been designed in such a way that two passengers sitting in the second row on its sides slightly fall into the seat. However, these positions are comfortable and can withstand long hours of driving.

Four lucky cylinders
Once BMW has introduced new markings, it is difficult to guess a particular model by looking only at the emblem on the tailgate. The 430i designation may deceive some, but cylinders with a displacement of three litres do not go crazy under the bonnet. In this case, it is a two litre petrol unit with 252 horsepower. The maximum torque is 350 Nm. It is available relatively quickly for a spark-ignition engine, as it is available between 1450 and 4800 rpm. While driving, you really feel that the car accelerates quickly, gathering from below. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. However, analyzing this copy in the categories of sports cars, which can be encouraged by the M Power add-ons, we can say that it would be lacking in claws. However, a two-litre engine is calmly enough for everyday driving in the city.
The eight-speed transmission works smoothly, though a little dignified. It takes longer to get started, but when it works, it will do everything the driver wants. You can't say that it works too slowly, but it has its advantages - it doesn't grind in the dark. The fact that it takes a while for her to "think about" what the driver meant, but when she does it, it comes straight to her expectations. No panic reactions, shifting gears down, up, down again and again. The box can be positioned in an ideal position under all circumstances. Another advantage is that when driving at a speed of 100-110 km/h, the rev counter shows 1,500 revolutions, there is no noise in the cab and fuel consumption is only 7 litres.
The manufacturer's fuel consumption in the city is 8.4 l/100 km. This amount in practice varies slightly and is a little bit larger. However, in normal driving conditions, it does not exceed 10 litres. This value can be reduced to 9 l in a city, provided you remove your leg from the gas. On the other hand, if you let your imagination run wild and speed up, you can expect consumption to increase to 12 l/100 km.
As far as the ease of driving is concerned, it is hard to deny the "four" perfection. Thanks to the xDrive four-wheel drive, perfect adhesion to the ground regardless of the weather conditions is guaranteed. This will certainly give you a sense of safety, even in adverse weather conditions.
The exhaust end of the BMW 430i Gran Coupe, which has a dual appearance, produces quite pleasant, "welcome" sounds. Unfortunately, this is no longer audible in the cabin. These sounds can be heard mainly in the morning, awakening the engine from sleep after a cold night.
Driving, internal and external appearance, sounds. This is the BMW 430i Gran Coupe. You can call it a car that you miss leaving in the car park and one that you wait for to drive it again.
