The BMW i8 - an ultra-modern hybrid
Today's electronic progress in the automotive industry flourishes from year to year. The combination of several energy sources opens up a number of new opportunities. Hybrid drive is increasingly being used not only in city cars, but also in luxury sports cars. One example is the BMW i8, which was developed in 2013 and which is able to impress with its modern design and dizzying engine power. This model will work in the urban jungle as well as during the ride on the track, providing an unforgettable driving experience.
Luxury car design
As befits the renowned German motor company BMW, the i8 stands out for its modern design. Even at the very sight of a car, it can be said that it is a sports and luxury car that not everyone can afford to buy. The model has a low and shapely silhouette with a strongly sporty and futuristic character. The vehicle has been designed and balanced to be as light as possible. It uses the LifeDrive architecture and uses more aluminium and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic for its construction. The distinguishing feature of a car is definitely its door, which rises upwards, thus resembling a wing. Equally impressive are the headlights of the car - front and rear, which were made in LED technology. There are also available on the market versions of the car with laser lamps and chemically reinforced glass. Previously, no serial car had them.
Excellent BMW i8 specification
A sporty car can accommodate only 2 people. It would seem that there is not much space inside, but nothing more wrong. The space is large and comfortable, and the seats are perfectly profiled to make driving the BMW i8 as comfortable as possible.
When the eDrive electric mode is switched on, the car moves extremely quietly and silently. However, when the load is higher and the speed is higher, the internal combustion engine is switched on, which treats passers-by with the powerful sounds typical for sports cars. The total engine power is 362 hp at 570 Nm. The petrol engine itself has more power than the electric one (225 hp vs. 173 hp), but this does not translate into its capacity. The vehicle is driven by a 6-speed automatic transmission and additionally has a sports mode, which adapts to fast driving and allows manual shifting of gears. This mode will definitely work for the BMW i8 on the track.

Thanks to the use of an electric engine, the car will become extremely economical and produces a small amount of CO2 exhaust fumes. In a mixed cycle, the average fuel consumption is 2l/100 km and exhaust emissions are 49g/km. This places the BMW i8 at the top of the city's most economical cars.
BMW I8 - Track-side driving
The car has been designed to make driving comfortable and enjoyable. And it is certainly so. However, driving through crowded streets full of bumpy holes and wells may not be fully satisfactory. Therefore, in order to verify all the possibilities of the car and feel the maximum emotion that the BMW i8 can deliver, it is worth going on a ride on the track. This way you can feel the real power of the car and really test it in several ways. Driving this sports car can knock into the seat, so for lovers of strong impressions such a solution will be a great idea.
