How to enjoy a perfectly clean paint?

Beautifully shiny paint on a car is extremely important if you want to boast of a really impressive caravan. The question is how to make it look like from catalogues?

Why does lacquer lose its luster?

Paint matting is the inevitable turn of events - after a few years it simply loses its original colour and brilliance. Chemical reactions take place on its surface - atmospheric and organic factors are of great importance here. UV radiation, acid rain or even polluted air has an adverse effect. In addition, there are other things that affect the paint on the road: asphalt particles or even salt, which is sprinkled on the roadway in winter. Do not forget about mechanical factors, such as branches or brushes in automatic car washes. Scratches may appear, which cause the loss of the brilliance and intense color of our car.

Correction of car paintwork

Unfortunately, just taking care of the cleanliness of the body will not provide us with a beautiful color. Usually, more demanding measures are needed to maintain a deep shade of paint. The best solution is mechanical polishing, which is carried out using an electric polisher. This is a much more effective and faster method than manual polishing.

What is needed, i.e. pads and polishing pastes

Suitable polishing pads are required for polishing. Highly abrasive for removing deeper scratches, while soft for the best finish. A special polishing paste is also required.

Start polishing

Before polishing the lacquer, it must be properly prepared. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, so it is worth using not only a shampoo, but also a special remover and clay. There is another important point: polishing should be carried out in a shaded and closed room.

Apply the paste to the polishing pad and spread on the lacquer. This should be done at the lowest speed of the polisher. Then we can increase it and gradually spread the paste until it becomes transparent. At the end we return to the lowest revolutions and finish polishing in this way. The lacquer regains its intense colour and shine.
