Car rental process
Insurance, liability for damage, theft - these are some of the most controversial issues that every person interested in renting a car thinks about. This is a very popular way to have a car in the most necessary moments, but it requires certain criteria to be met. Which ones?
Car rental conditions
Renting a car, although very pleasant and available in many places around the world, carries with it a certain rigour in the form of different requirements. All conditions depend on the individual needs of the rental company, so each of them differs from one another in terms of regulations.
The most common conditions to be met by the rental company is the question of age. Most require that a person who wants to rent a car from the mini or compact class - was over 19 years of age and a category B driving license valid for at least one year. Medium class cars are already 21 years of age and a driving license valid for at least 2 years and 3 years for vehicles from higher groups, additionally with the age of 25 years.
Another and one of the most important conditions is the possession of two current identity documents: an identity card or passport and a valid driving licence. In addition, a credit card is required for rental, sometimes even two - if you want to rent a car from a higher level. This is due to the deposit, which functions as the equivalent of the cost of the loan. The amount is booked on the card in the same way as in the hotel's mini bar.
A requirement set by car rental companies is also to return the car in the complete and the same condition in which it was picked up. This may therefore require driving up to the car wash and cleaning the car. In any case, the tank of the car is fully replenished before the rental and so it is to return to the specified place and on the date specified in the contract.

If an accident occurs, during which an unwary driver entered the rented car, the damage is covered by the civil liability of the perpetrator. In other cases where the fault lies with the renter or is caused by nature - for example, a fallen tree, a fee must be paid for itself, specified on the basis of an expert opinion and a cost estimate established by the technical department of the rental company. In addition, penalties resulting from violations of the law, such as parking fees or fines, are only an individual cost.
Car rental agreement
Necessary elements of the lease agreement are first of all: identification of the parties, i.e. indication of the landlord and tenant (here personal data are used, in accordance with the identity document), content equivalent to a declaration of will, which must accurately describe the subject of the lease and the terms of the agreement, and above all - signatures of the parties, which confirm the declarations of will of persons representing the parties to the agreement.
Important information is also the date of validity - i.e. the date of collection of the car from the rental company, until its return, in accordance with the contract. Often there is also a detailed description of the subject of the lease, the amount and dates of repayment, as well as a list of objects and documents that are handed over to the lessee together with the car.
